Power Upgrade
A major upgrade to our power backup system scheduled to be deployed on Wednesday. This new system turns on automatically, and maintains the servers and cooling system indefinitely in the event of a power outage.
This new propane generator is large enough to power all our development servers, production machines, and the cooling system. It turns on automatically, and tests itself weekly. We began planing this new system early in 2007, and are thrilled it will be going live this week.
We do anticipate temporary interruptions on some development sites. It is also conceivable some clients will experience temporary outages of production services on Wednesday January 9 and Thursday January 10th. We have taken numerous measures to avoid possible interruptions in production services, but we are somewhat dependent on the speed of the electricians working to turn on the new system.
